Leadership Changes at MiniCo

In life, change is inevitable. In business, change is vital.
–Warren G. Bennis, author, On Becoming A Leader

Change is a fact of life in every business operation. The market changes, opportunities change, rates rise and fall, and the unexpected is always right around the corner. MiniCo has undergone a number of very positive changes over the past two years, and there have been even more since the start of 2022.

As you know, MiniCo was acquired by our parent company Jencap Group, LLC (Jencap) in 2019. In 2021 we debuted our logo and branding reflecting our affiliation with Jencap. Today I am excited to let you know about the next step in MiniCo’s evolution.

After serving as MiniCo’s President and CEO since 2010, I have taken on an added leadership role of Chief Revenue Officer for Jencap Program Administrators (JPA). JPA is a division of Jencap that manages insurance programs offered by four companies: MiniCo Insurance Agency, HRMP, Aran Insurance Underwriters, and IAT. This new position will add expanded responsibilities with a focus on enhancing our digital transformation strategy as it relates to marketing, sales, and agency relations for all our insurance programs as well as new program development.

We have long maintained ongoing communications with our producers. It is my goal to continue to provide valuable educational content through our publications and enhance the personalization of our messages based on your specific needs and interests. I look forward to engaging with all of you about your coverage challenges. We also are committed to continuing to provide educational resources such as our bimonthly agent e-newsletter, risk management e-newsletters, weekly tips, videos, and, more.

Speaking of communications, if you are planning to attend the upcoming ISS Expo in Las Vegas, please join me for a presentation on the topic of severe weather trends and risk management strategies for self-storage businesses.

The MiniCo team is looking forward to getting back out on the road, and we hope to see you at a show sometime this year. We thank you for your continued support of MiniCo’s insurance programs and look forward to working with you!

Mike Schofield
